Client Master Report (CMR) & Depository Participant (DP)
A Client Master Report (CMR) is a digitally signed PDF issued by Firstock that summarizes all essential details of your demat account. It includes your demat account number (DP ID and BO ID), name, and date of birth (as per KYC), bank account details, nominee information, email ID, mobile number, and account type (such as resident or NRI, individual or corporate).
This report is commonly required when transferring shares between brokers or verifying your demat account details on third-party investment platforms.
When is a CMR Required?
- When transferring shares from one broker to another.
- When verifying demat details with third-party platforms or investments.
How to Get Your CMR from Firstock:
- Email support@firstock.in from your registered email address requesting the CMR.
- Alternatively, navigate to the Help or Support section in your Firstock account.
- Once processed, the CMR will be sent as a digitally signed PDF to your registered email.
Understanding DP ID, BO ID, and Demat ID
DP Name: Firstock Broking Private Limited (registered with CDSL).
DP ID: A unique 8-digit code assigned to Firstock by CDSL — for all Firstock users, this is 12081400.
BO ID: Your Beneficiary Owner ID, which is unique to your individual demat account and consists of 8 digits.
Demat ID: A 16-digit number that combines the DP ID and BO ID (e.g., 12081400XXXXXXX). This ID is used for IPO applications, CDSL TPIN generation, and other demat-related transactions.
How to Find Your DP ID and BO ID on Firstock:
- Log in to your Firstock account.
- Click on your profile icon.
- Go to Settings.
- Select the Demat tab.
- You will find your:
- Depository Participant (DP)
- DP ID
- BO ID
- Demat ID
