Aadhaar User Consent Policy
Voluntary Act
Providing your Aadhaar is voluntary and will only be required for completing your account opening procedure online and digitally signing the Firstock account opening form. Your Aadhaar may also be used as proof of address as an alternative to a driving license or passport copy, which is a voluntary decision.
You may alternatively choose to open your account offline by physically signing the account opening documents, which does not require you to share your Aadhaar information.
Firstock Does Not Store Any Aadhaar Information
During your online account opening process, you do not input any UID details on the Firstock platform. Instead, you issue your Digital Aadhaar to Digilocker, from where Firstock (registered as a Requester on the Digilocker platform) receives limited information based on your consent, including:
1. The last four digits of your Aadhaar/VID (Virtual ID created on the UIDAI website)
2. Full Name
3. Date of Birth
4. Gender
5. Address
6. Your Photo
Digilocker, part of the National e-Governance Division under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, issues Digital Aadhaar identical to e-Aadhaar from UIDAI (https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in). Digilocker automatically provides Aadhaar details when linked to Aadhaar. This process functions as a physical KYC. Firstock only receives the above information for completing KYC requirements.
Clients may also choose the offline route for account opening, which does not require Aadhaar information.
During your online account opening process, you will also share your Aadhaar with NSDL Esign Services to digitally sign the Firstock account opening form. NSDL Esign Services does not share your Aadhaar with Firstock. After digitally signing the account opening form, a copy of the signed form will be emailed to you and Firstock for reference/audit purposes. NSDL Esign Services is a licensed e-Sign ASP (Application Services Provider) with CDAC, compliant with guidelines from the Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA), India, and UIDAI, enabling you to eSign account opening forms online.
